In 2010 the credibility of banks will be determined by the readiness of their shareholders to support their business in Ukraine!

On March, 9th 2010 representatives of RA ‘Expert Rating’ held a press conference in the NA ‘Interfax-Ukraine’ following the results of rating research ‘Rating of credibility of banks’. The rating was prepared following the results of work of the Ukrainian banks in 2009.

Stability Rating of banks of Ukraine in 2009

On May, 11th, 2009 the Rating Agency Expert Rating published its traditional annual stability rating of banks. The stability rating of banks following 2008 results covered banks with assets not lower than 1 bln UAH. 77 banks took part in the rating (vs. 107 last year) from which 23 banks have received the highest rating, i.e. have been qualified as A group banks. The number of banks in the stability rating has been reduced due to revision of some provisions of stability estimation method; stability rating following the results of 2008 has more conservative character. The main results of rating research are published in the journal Expert Ukraine no. 17 (210) of May, 11th, 2009.

Rating of Ukrainian banks’ liability - 2008

The Rating Agency Expert-rating in common with Commission in banking analysis of Ukrainian Society of financial analyzers (USFA)  have published the rating of Ukrainian banks. Banks whose net assets by 2007 year-end were worth less than UAH 500m had not been taken into consideration. The technique of rating estimation which was worked out by the working group of 20 experts has allowed to confer the p.i rating category of liability to 107 out of 173 banks.

Rating of Ukrainian banks’ liability - 2007

The Rating Agency Expert-rating in common with USFA have conducted the rating of Ukrainian banks. Banks whose net assets by 2006 year-end were worth less than UAH 300m had not been taken into consideration. The technique of rating estimation  has allowed to confer the p.i rating category of liability to 102 banks.

Rating of attractiveness of Ukrainian banks’ mortgages 

Rating Centre of Expert Ukraine Group has completed the Rating of attractiveness of banks’ mortgages. The project is based on public information and assigned without the request of banks. The main goal of the research was to reveal the most attractive for population mortgage products.

Rating of Ukrainian banks’ liability - 2006

The Rating Centre of Expert Ukraine IG in common with Commission in banking analysis of Ukrainian Society of financial analyzers (USFA) for the first time in the Ukraine’s history have conducted the rating of Ukrainian banks. Banks whose net assets by 2005 year-end were worth less than UAH 200m had not been taken into consideration. The unique technique of rating estimation which was worked out by the working group of 20 experts has allowed to confer the p.i rating category of liability to 96 out of 161 banks.
